As an experienced counsellor, I provide a warm welcome and a supportive, confidential place where you can talk through your thoughts and feelings openly, without fear of feeling judged.
My counselling practice is based in a designated, private garden-room in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac near the centre of Totnes, with convenient off-road parking.
From here, I offer a reliable space and time to talk, where you will be carefully listened to and heard.
The way I work is safe and professional with an accepting, non-judgemental approach.
I offer long or short-term counselling for adults & young people in Totnes, surrounding villages and nearby towns of Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, South Brent, Newton Abbot and Torbay.
I have much experience of helping people with a broad range of challenges and issues including: family relationships; parenting; personal relationships; anxiety or worry; work or study-related stress; struggles with transition and/or significant life-change; bereavement or loss; generalised sadness or depression, lack of meaning or purpose in life; disability.
When life becomes difficult, it can sometimes be easier to talk to someone who is not personally involved.
It can help to have someone to talk to who isn’t a friend or relative, but who holds your best interests at heart. I will acknowledge and value your unique perspective and work with you to help gain clearer insight and understanding. Working together with you, I will aim to build a relationship of trust, acceptance and respect for who you are.
Counselling can offer you a chance to change how you feel and begin to live better. It can provide an opportunity to clarify issues that are troubling you and help you make positive choices about your future.
I won’t give you advice, but I will work together with you, at your own pace.
I invite you to have an initial half-hour introductory meeting with me. This is your opportunity to discuss what is troubling you and decide whether counselling can help. If we both feel that counselling is the right choice for you, we will arrange further appointments.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and Counselling Directory
