Do you sometimes find life a struggle? Do you sometimes feel lost, confused, overwhelmed, or ‘stuck’? Do you want to change things but feel unsure how or where to begin? We all find life difficult at times; we all occasionally need support. You don’t have to cope alone.
Coming for counselling is the first step towards making change. Entering into a therapeutic relationship can help you redress life’s imbalance, improve your mental health, increase sense of well-being.
I am a mature, experienced counsellor, providing safe, reliable counselling in a well-established practice in Totnes. I offer warmth, acceptance, understanding and a professional approach.
I place emphasis on the importance of the relationship between therapist and client. Holding you at the centre of our work together, I can offer my time to work closely alongside you, look at what’s troubling you and help make sense of things.
My counselling practice is based in a designated, private garden-room in a quiet residential cul-de-sac near the centre of Totnes, with parking. From here I offer a secure base for us to work together, a calm, peaceful space where you can talk through your thoughts and feelings confidentially, without feeling judged.
I offer long or short-term counselling for adults & young people in Totnes, surrounding villages & nearby towns of Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, South Brent, Newton Abbot and Torbay.
I have much experience of helping people with a broad range of life’s challenges and personal issues including:
When life becomes difficult, it can sometimes be easier to talk to someone who is not personally involved…
It can help to have someone to talk to who isn’t a friend or relative, but who holds your best interests at heart.
I will acknowledge and value your unique perspective and work with you to help you gain a clearer insight and understanding.
Working with you, I aim to build a relationship of trust, acceptance and respect for who you are.
I won’t give you advice, but I will work together with you, at your own pace.
I’m a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and I follow their ethical guidelines.
