My way of working is humanistic, constructive and down-to-earth. I bring my self, my skills and my experience to our unique working relationship. I provide a reliable, regular, non-judgemental space where you can begin to talk about whatever is on your mind.
I will respect you for who you are and will hold your physical, mental and emotional well-being at the heart of our work together.
I will work with you to help you clarify the things that are troubling you. This can often release what may be holding you back in life.
I will acknowledge and build on your strengths and work with you to help you understand yourself and others better. I believe qualities of humour and compassion are important in developing therapeutic relationships.
I won’t give you advice, criticise or judge you, but I will help you make your own positive choices for the future.
How I Work:
I offer both short-term counselling or long-term therapy, depending on your needs and what is appropriate for you.
To get the most from counselling, you will need to commit to an initial period of regular 50 minute sessions, usually on a weekly basis.
Throughout the counselling process we will regularly review our work together, to ensure your needs are being appropriately met.
As we approach the final stages of counselling, we will discuss the process of closing, with a view to making a satisfactory ending to our work together.
